The BBA Program
ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The University offers a threeyear regular and professional BBA course with a specialization in Retail Management. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a 3-year undergraduate degree program that provides an insight into the basics of Business and Management. The BBA program nurtures students and equips them with strong foundational skills and knowledge in management. It combines contemporary coursework with practical applications, through which the students will learn to effectively solve complex management problems with a “Think global Act global” perspective. In the process, students can acquire a high level of knowledge and skills that help them in excelling in the competitive world and thereby contributing to the society. It also prepares students to pursue MBA programs in due course.

Eligibility

Pass in Class XII (or equivalent) in any discipline with aggregate 45% and above marks. Class XII students awaiting final year examination results are also eligible to apply.

Program Structure

The BBA program (Specialization in Retail Management) is organized in six semesters in three years. Students are also required to do Summer Internship after completion of Year I and Year II respectively. During V and VI semester, students are exposed to elective courses. The actual offering of electives will however, depend on an optimal number of students opting for the same.

ADMISSION MODALITIES
The BBA program is a full-time, campus-based program.

Eligibility :

Pass in Class XII (or equivalent), in any discipline with aggregate 45% and above marks.

**Candidate shall not be more than 21 Years in case of General Category, 22 Years in case of Backward Classes and 23 Years in case of SC/ ST, on the date of admission. However, the changes if any made to age limitation by the BCI from time to time, the same will be followed. Note: For reserved category students (SC/ST/OBC), Reservation will provide as per IU HP policy (Mentioned in prospectus with each program) and Himachal Pradesh Government policy.
Admission Process:

The admissions are made through IU HP application form. Eligible applicants are required to apply for the program by filling the Application Form. All the final year students who have not received the original certificates from the Board/ Universities by August 01, 2021 will be admitted provisionally. Their admission will be confirmed subject to their passing the qualifying examination and meeting the minimum requirements as indicated above.

The registration of the applicants not meeting the criteria by September 17, 2021 will be cancelled and only 50% of the semester fee will be refunded after notifying the cancellation of the seat by the University. Those students who apply for cancellation of their seat on or before 31st July 2021, Rs.1,000 will be deducted as Administrative charges and rest of the amount paid will be refunded.

Interview

The applicants will have to go through a personal interview at the campus. This is to determine the students' attitude and motivation to pursue the program. All original certificates including the Domicile certificate, Caste Category (in case of SC/ST/OBC students) should be produced for verification at the time of interview. The original certificates will be returned after verification.

The admission decision will be communicated after the interview process. All the selected students will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 10,000 towards confirmation of seat which will be adjusted in the first semester program fee.

Special Reservation

There shall be a special provision for admission of students belonging to the State of Himachal Pradesh in any program of the ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh (Baddi), which shall not be less than 25 (twenty-five) per cent of seats in each course/ discipline subject to the students meeting the minimum qualifying requirements referred to above.

Guidelines on how to Complete the Application Form:

The students are advised to read the guidelines carefully before completing the Application Form for Admission.

Application Form
  1. Please make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria before filling up the Application Form.
  2. Fill the Application Form in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  3. Provide all available information under appropriate sections.
  4. Make sure to sign the Application Form.
  5. Retain a photocopy of the completed Application Form
  6. Enclose a Demand Draft of ₹500 drawn in favour of “The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh - Fee Collection A/c” payable at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
Attested Copies of Certificates

Students have to enclose attested copies of the following certificates (Attestation should be done by any Gazetted Officer/Principal of the College).

  • Date of Birth Certificate /Class X Certificate
  • Marks sheets of Class XII / Diploma / Degree certificate (as may be applicable)
  • Scorecard of JEE (Main) for B.Tech / HPCET 2021 and qualifying exam for MBA.
  • Migration Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Character Certificate
  • Any other certificates pertaining to academic and other activities.
Original Certificates

Students have to submit following original certificate-

  • Migration Certificate
  • Character Certificate
Notarized Affidavit

Students have to submit the following affidavit:

  • Gap Year Affidavit (In case of gap in studies).
  • Anti-Ragging Affidavit (Compulsory).

Note: Students have to submit five passport size photograph with application form.

FEE SCHEDULE

Program Fee:

Students should pay the program fee at the beginning of each semester, as per the due dates which will be indicated in the Student Handbook. The first semester fee is to be paid on or before August 01, 2021.

Seat Reservation Fee: 10,000 is to be paid by the candidate on provisional selection which will be adjusted in first installment of the Program Fee.

Remittance: All payments should be made by way of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh– Fee Collection A/c” payable at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

Hostel Facility: The hostel accommodation is available for boys and girls in the campus. Hostel Fee will be indicated in the admissions letter.

Transport Facility: For students travelling from surrounding areas to the campus, transport facility is available on payment basis.

Merit Scholarships: The ICFAI University Himachal Pradesh (Baddi) offers merit scholarships to students pursuing UG and PG Programs. The scholarships are based on performance in qualifying examination and semester wise performance during the program.

A)Merit Scholarships * based on past academic record: The percentage achieved in qualifying examination (or its equivalent) will decide the amount of scholarship. The scholarship will continue in subsequent semester only on maintaining the minimum 6.0 GPA. The details are as presented in the following table.
